I am a lifetime resident of Dunkerton, Iowa, and received Jesus Christ as my personal Savior on August 20, 1951 at the age of nine. I married Barbara, my childhood sweetheart, on March 2, 1962. I have three sons and three daughters along with 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. I am one of the original members of Glorybound who began singing together as a sextet in the 1990′s. A retired farmer, I am very active in the community as well as at the gospel hall where we attend church services. I just love singing lead with the group, and occasionally I get to sing harmony on a few selected numbers. As George Younce used to say, “most of the miles are behind me” and “Canaanland” is just in sight. |

I sing bass and play acoustic guitar for Glorybound. I was born in 1963 and born again in 1970.
I have two daughters, a son-in-law and one granddaughter. I’m one of the original members of the group and have always enjoyed the privilege and responsibility of singing gospel music. It has been spiritually rewarding to share Christ through music in an appropriate, fun and entertaining way. |

I was born in Jackson, Michigan, and adopted by my parents in 1966. I am so thankful that God would care enough about me, to place me into a loving Christian home. I have always enjoyed music since I was very young, and can remember listening to the Gaither Trio and the Sixteen Singing Men. I did not come to know Christ as my Saviour and that my sins were forgiven until 1991, when I finally stopped running away from God. I am married to my beautiful wife Deb (since 1995), and we have 3 children, Ben, Abby & Leah. I am thankful for the opportunity to be able to sing with such talented people, and to tell others of the love of God. |

I sing soprano for Glorybound. I have loved singing all of my life and have enjoyed singing songs of praise with Glorybound since 2002. In July 1973 I trusted Christ as my Savior. I was raised in Independence, Iowa, and now reside in Waterloo, Iowa, with my husband David, son Eric (college student), and our little Boston Terrier. I have worked for the Mental Health Institute in Independence, Iowa, for over 31 years. |

I was born in Los Angeles, California, but was raised at the base of a steep bluff in Council Bluffs, Iowa. In 2000, I married a small-town boy and lugged my precious piano to northeastern Iowa. The woods, rolling hills, and nearby shopping centers of southwestern Iowa were left far behind. A tiny town consisting of a few houses, grain bins, and little else nestled in a quiet patchwork of cornfields is home to my husband, Aric, our small son, Aaron, and me. I was saved at age 13, one month before my 14th birthday. For this, I am extremely thankful. It is wonderful to always be learning more about God; I hope to be faithful in serving Him and will never stop being amazed at His love for me.
As a little girl, I couldn’t stand practicing the piano; it was equivalent to torture! However, my reluctance to practice stopped abruptly at about age 10, when my music teacher allowed me to begin working on classical music and classically arranged hymns. I absolutely loved it! The fact that I finally enjoyed what I was learning gave me a surge of determination to practice and play well. Years of hymn sings and weddings were my only musical outlet until February of 2009. At the annual Hudson, Iowa, hymn sing, Russ Nesbit of Glorybound was kind enough to ask me to become their new keyboard player. I have learned more than I ever thought possible as a result and enjoy working with the talented group of people that make up Glorybound. |

Originally from Aplington, Iowa, I trusted Christ and was saved as a teenager. I learned to sing harmony by listening to other singers in church meetings, and singing along with my grandmothers playing the piano. My husband and I have two sons, one of whom is in Glory, and four grandchildren who tolerate Grandma’s style of music with grace. It’s been wonderful to trace God’s hand in my life, and to be able to sing about my Savior for the blessing of others. I can personally testify like Glorybound sings on the Peace Like A River CD, my God is real! |
